Ramzy Jawwad is a compassionate and devoted attorney with a proven track record in immigration law and criminal defense. With Village Legal Services, he provides comprehensive legal oversite of client matters, including advice, negotiation, litigation, and administrative advocacy. His leadership ensures that the firm’s staff deliver high-quality legal assistance in accordance with established priorities and performance measures.

Ramzy continues to serve as an Attorney and Program Director at Lutheran Services Florida and has extensive experience managing complex Immigration legal service programs including overseeing the organization’s CRS legal services, Citizenship, and Assimilation Grants. Previously, Ramzy served as an Assistant Public Defender and Diversion Specialist in the Forensic Behavioral Health Unit at the Public Defender’s Office for the 13th Judicial Circuit in Tampa, Florida. There, he advocated for veterans struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues in Veteran’s Treatment Court and represented clients in Mental Health Court to secure appropriate treatment and resolution of their cases.

Ramzy earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of South Florida. He is fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese, enhancing his ability to serve diverse populations. 

Admitted to the Florida Bar, Ramzy is dedicated to upholding justice and providing compassionate legal representation to his clients.

Yvelis Hernandez Socorro is a dedicated Attorney and legal professional with extensive expertise in immigration and business law. With a Master of Laws in International Law from Stetson University College of Law and a Licentiate in Law from Universidad de La Habana. Yvelis brings over a decade of experience in providing legal services, managing legal teams, and advocating for clients in complex legal scenarios.

Yvelis continues to serve as an Attorney and Program Manager at Lutheran Services Florida and oversees the organization’s CRS legal services program.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Yvelis is adept at navigating diverse legal environments and committed to delivering exceptional legal counsel and representation. With Village Legal Services, she provides legal oversite of client immigration matters, including advice, negotiation, litigation, and administrative advocacy. Through her leadership, she is committed to leveraging her legal acumen and bilingual capabilities to provide high-quality immigration legal services and advocacy for our clients.
